I’ve had this guide on TMB for awhile, but still receive a lot of inquiries asking about steps involved. Here is all of the steps for applying the Modders Mesh. I did this custom window for the Gruntville case. People always ask “Where can I have my side panel laser cut?” So if you’ve ever wanted a custom design made in your side panel, I&H Accessories offers custom laser cutting. For Quotes, submit a DXF file of your design to iandhATihacc.com (replace AT with @)
Supplies Needed:

2x 12″ x 12″ sheets of Round Hole Modder’s Mesh Sheet

1x Roll of 3M Clear Mounting tape #4010
Tools & Equipment:
Safety Glasses
Filtered Respirator mask
Lacquer Thinner
Lacquer or Enamel Clear Coat Aerosol Paint (prevents mesh from rusting!)

Plain steel should a good coating of oil to prevent oxidation. We need to remove oil/dirt before clear coating or painting.

Wear your Filtered Respirator Mask! Fold and soak portion of rag with Lacquer Thinner. (the sunglasses are optional *wink)

Check Modder’s Mesh after wiping for any threads left by the rag before applying Clear coat paint. If you can, blow out holes of any dirt w/compressed air. (Can of compressed air works good) before applying the Lacquer or Enamel Clear coat paint.
I’ll be using 2, 12″ x 12″ clear acrylic window sheets from Mnpctech.

Mounting 12″ x 12″ clear acrylic sheet and Round Hole Modders Mesh

Scotch HD Clear tape is very sticky. Imagine trying to cut strands of chewed gum with Scissors.. What works best is gently apply tape to scrap piece of steel or alum, cut w/ Xacto and peel it off.

Cutting 4, 1/4″ x 12″ strips for window edges. You’ll do this step 2 more times so you have 12, strips for installation.
