    • You gotta love it when an old Beige box is resurrected into something like “The Beast PC” by Mark Anderson. The sacrificial case was an Inwin A500. The case enjoyed it’s peak sales during the Pentium 1 era. It’s now purring with it’s Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600. Before Mark could hot-rod his A500 case, it was stripped to the chassis and modified with 2, 120mm fan holes and Mark’s “Beast” paw design. The main frame was powder coated Candy-Apple Red with Red sparkle additive.

The Motherboard tray and internal panels were chrome plated. The two tone color scheme looks awesome. Mark designed “The Beast” theme acrylic side panels and steel fan grills in Adobe Illustrator before sending them off to “Laser Cutting Service, Inc.” He sent out the finished grills to “Cal-Tron Plating Inc.” to be chrome plated. Not many people could revamp a 10 year old case like Mark did and “The Beast” is evil in a good way. You can read more about it in the The Mod Brothers Forums

Mark was kind enough to share the professional resources used for his project.

Neat project… Always a good to see old cases getting makeovers.

mark did a great job on this one, it takes a lot of work to give a face-lift like this to an inwin, “the beast” could describe the case before AND after.
