Etching your computer case window is easy and fun!. All you need is a Rotary Tool, Safety Glasses and some engraving bits. I guide my friend, “Computer Brad” through his first time etching a case window. I share the attachments that worked best for general acrylic etching. I’ve listed the attachments that work best for basic designs, but encourage you to experiment as to what bits will best suit your own needs.

Mick64 modeled the PC with Google’s free modeling software, SketchUp and rendered it with Kerkythea. He designed the case specifically for liquid cooling. It will fit a 120.3 and 120.4 rad with shrouds in a push and pull configuration. Mick is hoping to find an investor or manufacturer interested in putting his design into production. Lenovo is looking for Modder’s ideas for a cool mod and tell them how you’ll build it. Lenovo will select up to ten finalists from the total number of submissions. Upon accepting the terms of contest, the finalists will each be provided with a Lenovo PC and a budget for up to $2,000 to complete their mod project. The finalists’ mod projects will be featured on the contest website mod building contest page. Fans of the contest website will be able to vote for their favorite finalist. The finalist with the most fan votes will become the winner of the Lenovo Mod Building Contest. Modders who enter have a chance of winning a Lenovo IdeaPad Y560 notebook and having their cool creation displayed at the 2011 Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas! Ron L Christianson’s BIOHAZARD PC Project, Part 9-B

If you haven’t seen Ron’s project yet, then you must be modding under a rock. His Biohazard PC could easily be used for a location prop in a Resident Evil movie. The entire build is being fabricated from scratch. In his latest video update, Ron shows you how he creates some weathered paint effects and the Main power switch.
